Ditlep - Privacy

The Ditlep team is super conscious about privacy.
On the web today there are numerous companies trying to get your information like email addresses or personal preferences.
Most websites have "mailing lists" which they use to sell to other people. We do not have mail lists, and will never ask for any personal details.

What data is being collected?

We (ditlep.com) stores non-identifying data in the form of IP addresses from everyone who connects (192.168.1.1). This lets us detect when people try to access our website thousands of times in 1 seconds - in to attempt to crash our servers.

Every 1 week we completely delete this data with as it is no longer useful to us We only use IP addresses to find people who abuse our services, and block them.
We also host ads on our website to keep the lights on, these 3rd party ad networks utilize cookies to remember who has visited, and can be used to serve you personalized ads on the website.

Why collect the data?

As stated above, Ditlep stores IP addresses to monitor if any malicious / destructive forces try to bring down our website. This allows us to block any bad actors from our website
Ad networks also collect personalized data via cookies and other methods we have no control over.
Adds will be personalized based of previous browsing behavior and may be served on our website. We host ads because server hosting is a cost we have to recover.
